Blysse Massage offers various treatments, including from Remedial Massage, Relaxation Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Bone and Joint Massage, Polynesian Stretch Massage to a Power session for tired souls. For more detailed explanations of each time, please read below.

Remedial Massage

A medium-firm massage style that helps relieve specific musculoskeletal problems related to injuries, chronic muscle tension, or painful muscle spasms that can refer pain to other areas of your body. Remedial Massage is especially effective in breaking compensatory pain postures and patterns.

Relaxation Massage

A traditional massage with light to medium pressure that incorporates rhythmic kneading techniques to target tension zones. This full-body massage helps to release tension held in every part of the body, leaving you feeling relaxed and recharged. Your therapist will combine her signature blends of warm oil with deep muscle manipulation to relieve muscular tension, improve tissue vascularisation and enhance circulation.

Blends of aromatic essential oils are personally selected to suit each individual’s needs. This is the perfect treatment for a first-timer.

Pregnancy Massage

Gentle massage for mother-to-be to address the physical discomforts during pregnancy: it is the perfect remedy for easing back pain, shifting fluid retention and promoting a state of calm and optimal well-being. Prenatal massage is a whole-body massage with long and fluid movements, soft stretches, specific gestures that bring balance and harmony to the expectant mother. I use organic vegetable oil that doesn’t contain any essential oils or other chemical products. Pregnancy massage is performed lying on the side with the aid of pillows, affording total comfort and relaxation.

The recommended time-frame for prenatal massage is after the end of the first trimester, once a week during the second trimester is great, and twice a week or more, during the third trimester, is wonderful.

Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues. Some health conditions can cause lymph fluid to build up, such as after surgeries.

If you have recently had surgery, please check with your doctor to confirm that it will be safe to massage the area.

Polynesian Stretch Massage

The Polynesian Stretch Massage is conducted entirely clothed and is performed on the floor. Benefits include: full 360-degree rotation of joints, gentle stretching of joints from different and varied angles; bi-lateral stretching of two joints at once (e.g., stretching of both arms simultaneously); deep pressure to muscles directly from the top for greater depth and therapeutic benefit; slow movements that progress from toe to head.

Gentle stretching combined with firm, slow muscle massage calms and stills the mind, leading to reduced stress and an increased sense of well-being. The loosening effects of targeted stretching of joints, and deep muscle massage, results in a significant reduction in various muscle and joint pain.

A Polynesian Floor Massage—Introductory Massage

Although the Polynesian Floor Massage is a treatment unto itself, it’s also one of the best ways to prepare for a more intensive oil massage. Once your Polynesian Floor Massage is complete, your muscles will be warmed up and you’ll be either ready to relax and go on with your day—or continue with another specialised massage.

Bone & Joint Massage

Bone and Joint massage can be used to treat both joints and soft tissues. Because we hold onto trauma in our muscle tissues, fascia and tendons, this massage is a very effective technique for healing and releasing a range of traumas such as fear, anxiety and stress.

Power Session—90 Minutes—Or More

This is for when life hits you hard and puts too many demands on you. Take a break and find your real self again, first with a gentle yoga session focusing on relaxing your mind with balancing breathing and supporting your power centre, your core.

Blysse helped me to recover from swellings after my post liposuction surgery and I am forever thankful. The numbness on my knees healed and swelling improved considerably. I highly recommend them.
